Meet our heroes

We’ve been working hard for years to build this big family. Every day, we work hard to provide our children a brighter future. Our dedication is unshakeable, and we put our hearts and souls into all we do. We have already accomplished so much, but we are sure that the best is yet to come!

Adam
"If I missed training sessions, it was due to my previous demanding schedule. However, since I joined Kimitec, I've been able to do both."

Adam Zidani is actively involved in the Tobogan project. Football has always been his true passion, but as he shares, "there was a period when it was either soccer or work."  Juggling his former job and his athletic pursuits was a challenge. Thankfully, now that he is a member of the greenhouse team, he can seamlessly merge his profession with his passion.

Alfredo
"If they are there for me, why shouldn't I be there for others?"

When Alfredo finishes the day's work as a greenhouse technician, he hops on our bus and drives our Foundation's children to after-school sessions with our volunteers.

Esther
“The fact that a lot of our children thought they were not worth it makes me sad. Now, they are excited for a better future.”

Esther is the heart of the Foundation. Among the 400 boys and girls in the Foundation, every single one of them knows Esther. She is there unconditionally, even Sunday mornings, helping them with classes and instilling valuable lessons through our many workshops. Esther is their guardian angel, and without her, this entire endeavor would lose its purpose.

Hatim
“If it were not for my football team, I would be out there on the streets doing who knows what."

Hatim plays left-back at the U13 category of our MAAVi F.C. He joined our Foundation because, despite his short age, he knows what goes on on the streets. Choosing football and the values associated makes him an example even to older teammates.

María del Mar
“Seeing them happy about their grades at school and the results of your work is priceless”.

Mar is a member of Kimitec's maintenance team. For her, the Foundation is a reflection of the “hearts of those up in the hierarchy”, because it does not only help children with their education, but also with the integration of their parents into the labor market. Although her domestic situation is not optimal, she always finds some spare time to help in the Foundation.

“To join other clubs, children must be minimally educated. We work differently. No matter the educational background of the child, we strive to teach them everything they might need in the future"

He was reluctant to join our Foundation at first... and now he spends more time with the children than with his own family. Because he realized that he was not only helping others, but also growing himself as a person thanks to what our children have taught him. And he is not the only one to feel that way.

Saad
“I came on an illegal boat and ran away from a child protection center looking for my mother. I wanted to play football, a job and a home... And that is just what the Foundation has given me. It is incredible, nobody else would have done something like that for me"

Saad plays left-forward at the U18 category of the MAAVi F.C. Like many others, he had a difficult situation, but we did not give up on him and made him room in our field of opportunities.

Sabija
“At some point in my life I was going through hell, separated from my children. The Foundation helped me keep them by my side”

Sabija was living a complicated situation at home, separated from her husband and her children. When the Foundation helped her with her legal issues, Sabija found a job and moved to Germany, taking her children with her. She did not know that the Foundation would also help her with her integration into the labor market.
